after trying to update by a flash drive and a LAN, i managed to make it work by restarting in safe mode (turn off ps4 and then hold the power button until it beeps and beeps again) and choosing OPTION 6, initialize without completely wiping the ps4 of its firmware. I can only calmly sit like a dog and wait for a treat (patch that would fix this ridiculous issue)all I gotta say is I'm so fucking desperate because there is no way for me to fix this. How could something like this get released and not get patched right after ? And I've also lost all of my savings on games. This never happened to me before and I'm just pissed. And idk for how much longer is it gonna take for these idiots tp address the issue. It's just ridiculous how a 400 mb update had fucked up my experience of using the console for a whole week allready. And just wtf am I supposed to do ? When I say I tried everything I mean EVERYTHING. I've payed for this stupid console and now it's broken guess what my ps plus subscription is going to waist too. If this works then the PS4 should start up like normal, setup your account and try downloading a game from your library, try a game like horizon or God of War, if at any time while playing the game you get an error message saying the application is corrupt and will have to close and that you have to download it again from the library, then it's over for your PS4, the safe mode loop will keep happening and you will have to keep reinstalling from a USB.
